You only need a permit if you plan to use a metered parking space.
The official Pittsburgh PARK(ing) Day posters will be available next week. Everyone should have a poster visible at their park...the meter is a nice location for the poster.
Originally created by Rebar, San Francisco art and design collective, PARK(ing) Day is an annual, one-day, global event where artists, activists, and citizens collaborate to temporarily transform metered parking spots into “PARK(ing)” spaces: temporary public parks. Anyone can participate in PARK(ing) Day, though it is strictly a non-commercial project, intended to promote creativity, civic engagement, critical thinking, unscripted social interactions, generosity and play.
Hi,
ReplyDeleteI have a small collective at CMU that would like to participate but the place we'd like to "park" is outside the Oakland Public Library, and the parking there is no longer with meter but a pay station. Can we get those too?
Thanks,
KCDM
that will work...contact me: emily@mattress.org with any other questions.
